We all know it can be hard to give garlic pressers a good clean. Put a small piece of bread or raw potato through the press or mincer- this will push all the bits of garlic out, making cleaning a breeze.
Divide your washing up detergent into two bottles. Put a dessert spoon of salt into each bottle, and then fill up with cold water. Shake the bottles until the contents change colour and thicken. Each of these bottles will then go twice as far as the original. The new formula also removes tea and coffee stains more efficiently, and isn’t as slippery so you don’t drop and break things.
The night before you go on a picnic, put damp face washers into a plastic bag and pop them into the freezer overnight. Pack them in your esky the next day- they’ll keep everything cool and are perfect for cleaning hot, sticky hands after eating.
You can make your stainless steel cutlery shine by soaking them in a solution of hot water, a dribble of detergent and ½ cup of bleach for an hour. Rinse in hot water and dry while warm. Your cutlery will look brand new.
