Ingredients
- 3/4 teaspoon Cinnamon Ground
- 4 teaspoons Vegetable Oil plus 2 cups for frying
- 2 cups Plain Flour
- 1/2 cup Sugar plus 2 tablespoons
- 1/2 teaspoons Salt
- 2 cups Buttermilk
- 2 Eggs lightly beaten
- 2 teaspoons Baking Powder
- 4 inch Granny Smith Apple cored, peeled and cut into 1/2thick rings

Instructions
- Mix cinnamon and 1/2 cup sugar in a bowl.
- Using a different bowl, bet 4 teaspoons oil, buttermilk and eggs. Mix in 2 tablespoons sugar, flour, salt and baking powder.
- Heat 2 cups oil in a big frying pan.
- Dip a couple of apples into the the batter and then fry for about 2 minutes each side.
- Put on paper towels to dry. serve with cinnamon.
