Preheat oven to 200 degrees C. Line a 6 cup capacity loaf tin with baking paper. Sift flour into a medium mixing bowl. Add cheese and nuts.
Stir to combine. Make a well in the centre, add buttermilk and stir to form a soft dough. Spoon dough into a prepared tin and sprinkle with a little extra cheese.
Bake for 30-35 minutes or until loaf is well risen and golden. Stand in tin on a wire rack to cool.
