  1. Rinse and scrub potatoes. Cut into thin slices, not all the way through. Use a spoon or knife beside potato to keep you from cutting all the way through.
  2. Place into a baking dish and fan out slices. Sprinkle with salt and drizzle with butter, sprinkle with herbs.
  3. Bake at 220c for about 50 minutes.
  4. Remove from oven and sprinkle with cheese. Bake for another 10 – 15 minutes until cheese has melted and potatoes are soft inside.
  5. Serve with sour cream.
