  1. Mix popcorn with cashews. Heat ale and reduce by half. Stir in brown sugar, syrup and butter.
  2. Cook gently until bubbly, stirring. Simmer 5 minutes, until syrupy.
  3. Stir in garam masala and salt. Add to popcorn mix, toss to coat.
  4. Spread on lined trays. Bake 20 minutes, stirring every 5 minutes. Cool. Break into pieces.
