Break the chocolate into squares, one for each wonton. Take the wonton wrappers from your packet to handle the squares of chocolate you have set aside.
Mix the ground cinnamon and sugar in a small bowl for sprinkling over the wontons once they are cooked.
Melt the butter in a small pot or microwave. Brush the edges of the wonton wrappers with butter and place a square of chocolate in the centre of one half of the wrapper. Fold the empty half of the wrapper over the square of chocolate and seal on all sides. Repeat until you have the desired number of wontons for your hungry hoards.
Heat the oil in a fry pan or small saucepan. Poke the corner of a wonton into the oil to test – if it bubbles and sizzles you are ready to go. Cook one or two at a time, depending on the size of your pan.
Once golden, remove from pan and drain on paper towel and leave to crisp.
Sprinkle with cinnamon sugar and serve with thick cream, berries, or ice cream.
