  1. Cook the mince and the onion in a non stick pan until lightly browned. Add the curry powder and mix well. Pour over the gravy mix and stir over a low heat until thickened. Simmer.
  2. Preheat oven to 180c. Lightly grease 2 trays of flat bottom patty pans, cut the pastry into rounds with a 7.5 cm cutter and press into the pans. Spoon the cooled meat mixture into the pastry cases.
  3. Season mashed potato with black pepper and divide between the pies. Sprinkle with parmesan cheese and a little curry powder if desired. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden and pastry is cooked. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve with tomato chutney.
