  1. Combine the onion, garlic, ginger, sugar, soy sauce, lemon juice and oil in a food processor and blend until combined. Thread the meat onto soaked bamboo skewers and then place into a non-metallic container.
  2. Pour over the marinade and chill for 30 minutes, longer if time permits. Remove from the marinade and grill or barbecue for 2-3 minutes or until cooked through. Serve with a wedge of lemon and garnish with mixed salad leaves.
Recipe Notes

These skewers can be grilled for a tasty nibble or turned into a fully-fledged meal on the barbecue with cooked rice, a simple salad and crusty bread.
