On Thursday at work we have had a ‘Bake Off’ so i made two cakes. On Tuesday i baked the cakes and then on Wednesday i have frosted and decorated.

What have i made?

First, was Banana Cake with Nutella Buttercream

The only changes to this recipe was. Sour Cream has been replaced by a banana flavored yoghut and the hazelnuts have been replaced with almond meal.I have poured the cake batter into two greased round cake tins and let these cook for about 30 minutes. I have then allowed these to cool.

Second, was Oreo Cupcakes

No changes to this recipe as this has always been a winner and a very easy recipe.

The next night i have made the frosting and the buttercream.

I started with the Nutella Buttercream.

Then making only half of the recipe for the Peanut Butter Frosting have decorated each of the cakes.

The cupcakes i have then topped with half an Oreo.

Breakfast this morning was Buttermilk Hotcakes

The only changes i made in this recipe was using mango flavoured yoghurt and 1/4 cup of white chocolate bits.

Served these with maple syrup and cream.

I have then made some Raw Energy Protein Balls

For these i have used almonds, cashews, macadamias, walnuts, cranberries, sultanas, apricots, dates, 1 tablespoon of honey, 1 tablespoon of golden syrup and protein powder.

I have wizzed these up in my little processor in two batches and then formed into balls.

Lastly, dinner made tonight was by Ryan.

He has made – Maque Choux with Prawns and Quinoa

The preparation in this recipe was quite a bit. He has followed the recipe with all ingredients.

Once the Maque Choux has simmered he has split it into two separate fry pans. In one he has placed his prawns and in the other he has placed a diced chicken breast that had been pan fried.

I have made the Quinoa following a recipe i have found and now added to this website.
