  1. Preheat oven to 150c (fan forced). Line 2 baking trays with baking paper.
  2. Put the rolled oats, flour, wheat germ, sugar and cinnamon in a large bowl. Stir well to combine.
  3. Put spread, water, orange juice and golden syrup in a small saucepan. Stir over a low heat until the spread dissolves and the mixture is well combined. Remove pan from the heat and stir in the bicarbonate of soda.
  4. Add the spread mixture immediately to the oat mixture. Using a wooden spoon, mix until well combined. Shape tablespoons of the mixture into balls and place on the trays about 5 cm apart. Flatten each ball with the back of a spoon.
  5. Bake biscuits for 12-15 minutes or until cooked through and they have started to darken around the edges. Set aside on trays for 5 minutes. Transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
