- 1 cup Self Raising Flour
- 1/4 cup Brown Sugar
- 1 teaspoon Cinnamon Ground
- 75 grams Butter diced
- 1/4 cup Golden Syrup
- Writing Icing to decorate

Instructions
- Preheat oven to 180°C or 160°C fan. Line 2 baking trays with baking paper.
- Sift flour, sugar and cinnamon into a bowl. Add butter. Using your fingertips, rub in the butter until the mixture resembles breadcrumbs. Add golden syrup then mix to form a soft dough.
- Roll dough on a lightly floured surface until 5 mm thick. Using a 6 cm round cutter, cut rounds from dough. Place on prepared trays, allowing room for spreading. Using a skewer, make a hole at the top of each cookie, to allow for a ribbon to thread through. Chill for 10 mins.
- Bake for 10 mins, until golden. Let cool on trays.
- Decorate with writing icing and thread with Christmas ribbon.
