Instructions
  1. Use an apple corer to remove core from apples. With a sharp knife, score a ring around the middle of each apple.
  2. Beat together butter, sugar and orange rind with a wooden spoon. Add orange juice and dark chocolate; mix until combined.
  3. Divide chocolate mixture between two apples to fill their centres.
  4. Cut pastry into two even circles, then pinch edges to form decorative rims. Place apples on top of pastry.
  5. Preheat oven to 180 degrees and bake apples until pastry turns golden brown.
  6. Dust with icing sugar just before serving with cream or ice-cream.
