Ingredients
- 125 ml Water
- 1 Black Tea Bag such as English Breakfast
- 1 Cinnamon Stick
- 500 ml Skim Milk
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla Essence
- pinch Ginger ground
- pinch Cardamom ground
- 1 teaspoon Sugar
- Cinnamon Ground to serve

Instructions
- Put the water, tea bag and cinnamon stick in a small saucepan. Cover and bring to the boil over a high heat. Remove pan from heat. Cover and set aside for 5 minutes to steep. Discard the tea bag and cinnamon stick.
- Stir the milk, vanilla essence, ginger and cardamom into the tea. Return to a medium heat (do not boil) and cook, stirring, until mixture is heated through. Remove pan from heat. Add the sugar and stir until it dissolves.
- Pour the chai into heatproof glasses. Sprinkle with cinnamon and add a cinnamon stick, if you like, to serve.
