  1. Preheat the oven to 160c. Place the oats, flour, sugar and coconut in a bowl and stir to combine. Set aside.
  2. Place the butter and golden syrup in a small saucepan over low heat, stir until melted and combined. Place the water and bicarbonate of soda in a bowl, stir to combine and add to the butter mixture. Pour the butter mixture into oats mixture and stir until well combined.
  3. Place tablespoons of the mixture onto baking trays lined with baking paper, allowing room for the biscuits to spread. Flatten slightly and bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden. Allow to cool on trays.
  4. Spread 1 tablespoon of melted chocolate on the base of each biscuit and place chocolate side up on a wire rack or until set.
