- 4 sheets Shortcrust Pastry ready rolled
- 7 Apples peeled and sliced
- 60 grams Sugar
- 4 Cloves
- 1 teaspoon Lemon Rind finely grated
- 1 Egg beaten for glazing

Instructions
- Blind bake pastry sheets in a lightly greased dish of your choice.
- Place apples, sugar, cloves and lemon rind in a saucepan. Cook until tender, cool, Layer apple mixture into pastry case.
- Using remaining pastry sheets, cut circles with 3 different sized cutters and arrange over apples, glaze with beaten egg.
- Bake at 180c for 40 minutes or until golden. Serve hot.
Recipe Notes
Blind Baking Lightly grease quiche or flan dish, and layer with two overlapping pastry sheets. Line the pastry with two thickness of grease-proof paper or foil, cover with loading (uncooked rice or pasta shells) and bake for 10-15 minutes at 190c, remove paper and loading, cool.
